Brick To The Future Part 1 on Flickr. This was originally meant to be one photo but after a lot of ideas and working i’ve decided to make it in to a whole series for all to enjoy.
This is a SOOC single exposure, I took about 25 attempts to get one I was 100% happy with. All of these photos are inspired by my good buddy James De Luna and his light painting lego adventures and also the Legography of Andrew Whyte.
I’m a huge back to the future fan and well as a huge Lego fan and have tried to be as accurate as possible throughout the series.
In part 1, pictured above Marty is traveling through the time vortex, inspired by Doctor Who as we don’t actually see the Delorean traveling through time in such way in the films, there is usually just a jump so a little imagination has been used. I’m very happy with the end result and there is many more to follow.

The OId Dead Tree on Flickr.I see this tree every day and i’ve always wanted to shoot it. When I saw it was going to be a clear night I decided to go for a walk and get my shot.
The moon was quickly rising which affected my composition but I made the best of it to get this 30 minute trail.

The Yellow Dumper on Flickr. This was actually a test shot for a star trail I was about to do, I often do test shots to see it my lighting is correct and my composition is good before commiting to a longer exposure.
Never liked it too much but over time these things grow on me, I always hated the bit of lens flare from my flash on the right but I quite like it now. It reminds me that light painting is Photoshop perfect and never will be and thats what makes it special.

I took my website down about 2 years ago for refurbishment and after much struggle with programming and content i’ve finally got it to a stage where it is public worthy again. There are a few bits that need finishing which I will be doing asap, but in general it’s ready for everyone to enjoy. a Noctography and Light Painting guide, as well as Galleries with my favoite work on.

VW T5 on Flickr.I like to get an updated picture of my van every now and again when i’ve done some noticble improvements or mods, this is one of those times. New wing decal and roof rack decorations.
The night was a failure for a while, we went to at least 4 different locations that we’re all unsuitable.
Finally we found a good spot, a little further from home than I’d usually go but I really wanted to get this picture. We set up and started shooting, stepping in puddles trying to get my lighting right, and after a short visit from the police we’re plodded on and finished.
By the time we got back home blue hour was upon us and had no time for other light painting so went to bed.
